Challenge:
The proposed development at South Cave Playgroup called for the existing building to be converted into two two-bedroom residential dwellings. The client required a rear extension that would be altered to accommodate new glass doors and windows.
Solution:
The design development consisted of dividing the existing building internally to accommodate two three bedroom dwellings with potential for future extension. In order to bring natural light into the first floor rooms and rear extension, new low-profile conservation roof lights would be installed within the existing roof slopes.
Conclusion:
The conversion of the Play Group building into two, two-bedroom houses provides large open planned areas that are perfect for a family home. The modern rustic interior provides a luxury feel to the converted dwellings and takes advantage of the great local amenities.
